Mise En Place [~2-3 Minutes]

Every day you should:

1. Login to DCPS OneView and Focus.
2. Open Outlook and OneNote.
3. Clock-in on Focus.
4. Check your DCPS e-mail for important information.
5. Follow any instructions on the board.

Today you should:

1. Get a copy of the class syllabus and student information sheet if you did not get one yesterday.
2. Finish the Student Information Survey if you have not done so.

Instruction [~5-10 Minutes]

Students will review the rituals and routines for the classroom. Specifically for today students will review:

1. How to Save Files
2. How to Rename Files
3. How to Upload Files to Focus

Work [~12-25 Minutes]

Work on the student information sheet and read through the class syllabus.

Time permitting, begin working on the My First E-mail assignment. Due Date: Monday, August 19, by 4:25PM.

Time permitting, begin working on the Draw Something #20 project. Due Date: Friday, August 23, by 11:59PM.

Begin working on the Student Intro. PowerPoint. Due Date: Friday, August 23, by 11:59PM.

Break Down [~5 Minutes]

Before you leave please do the following::

1. BACKUP your data in at least two locations.
2. RESTART the computer.
3. TURN OFF the monitor.
4. COLLECT your materials.
5. WAIT quietly to be dismissed.
6. PUSH in your chair when you leave.
7. THROW away any trash in the trashcan as you leave.

Homework

Finish any class work not completed during the period.

Read for at least 20 minutes.
