[Challenge] Making Music with Linux

Background

Linux is a free, open-source operating system that runs on almost all modern computers. Linux can run a number of software programs for creating and editing music including: Audacity, Hydrogen, and Linux Multi Media Studio (LMMS). For this challenge you will use the tools available in class to create an original song of high quality.

Content Rubric

  1. Song is at least 60 seconds but no more than 10 minutes in length.
  2. Song utilizes concepts of music theory.
  3. Lyrics [if used] are school appropriate.
  4. Song demonstrates and investment of time and effort.

Process Rubric

  1. File name is: lastname_firstname_name_of_song
  2. File format is .mp3 or .ogg
  3. Song file contains appropriate METADATA such as Composer, Style, Date, Genre, etc.
  4. Submit to Challenge drop-box on Focus by 05/18/2018 at 4:25PM.
