Mise En Place [~2-3 Minutes]

Every day you should:

  1. Login to DCPS OneView and Focus.
  2. Open Outlook and OneNote.
  3. Clock-in on Focus.
  4. Check your DCPS e-mail for important information.
  5. Follow any instructions on the board.

Today you should:
  1. Finish the Cornell Notes assignment if you have not done so already.

Instruction [~5-10 Minutes]

Students will view the Top 8 for Draw Something #20. Click the links below to find the top 8 projects from each class period. These students will receive a small reward on Monday for making top 8.

Work [~12-25 Minutes]

  • Continue working on Codecademy.com Introduction to HTML Due Date: September 20, 2019 by 4:25PM. or complete the alternative assignment for partial credit.

    1. As an alternative to completing the entire Codecademy.com course students can create a PowerPoint with the following information:
      • Each italicized vocabulary word along with a definition and example of the code required to use that element or feature of HTML.
      • There should be ONE vocabulary term per slide.
      Students that complete 50% of the Codecademy.com and submit this PowerPoint will receive a 75% grade on the Codecademy.com grade.
  • Complete the Cornell Notes on Intro. to CSS. Due Date: Sept. 17, 2019.

  • Begin working on My Favorite Noun web design project. Due Date: September 27, 2019 by 11:59PM.

Break Down [~5 Minutes]

Before you leave please do the following::

  1. BACKUP your data in at least two locations.
  2. RESTART the computer.
  3. TURN OFF the monitor.
  4. COLLECT your materials.
  5. WAIT quietly to be dismissed.
  6. PUSH in your chair when you leave.
  7. THROW away any trash in the trashcan as you leave.

Homework

Finish any class work not completed during the period.
